PPG announced Lyndee Brassieur as the new vice president of environment, health, and safety (EHS), effective April 1, 2024. She succeeds Mark Cancilla, who retired on March 1, 2024. Brassieur, the current global director of industrial segment operations, specialty coatings and materials (SCM), will report to Ram Vadlamannati, senior vice president of operations.
In her new role, Brassieur will oversee EHS and Product Stewardship departments, focusing on employee safety, incident prevention, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance. Collaborating with company leaders, she will shape EHS policies and strategies and implement initiatives to enhance EHS performance globally.
Previously appointed in 2022, Brassieur played a vital role in refining operational excellence and manufacturing strategies at PPG’s SCM global sites. With 25 years of experience, she held various management positions, emphasizing manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and environmental health and safety management.
Brassieur earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from McNeese State University and is a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt.
“Congratulations to Lyndee on her appointment,” said Vadlamannati. “Our top priority is the well-being of our employees and communities. With Lyndee’s leadership, we will uphold our commitment to environmental responsibility and safety.”
