Man Falls from Ladder in Halifax

The occupational health and safety division of Nova Scotia’s Department of Labour is launching an investigation following a report from the police regarding a 61-year-old man who fell from a ladder in Halifax.

According to a news release by Halifax Regional Police, the incident occurred on Marginal Road around 1:40 p.m. The man sustained injuries deemed to be “believed to be life-threatening” and was promptly transported to the hospital.

Confirming the incident, the Department of Labour communicated to CBC News via email that the incident was reported at 1096 Marginal Road. As part of the investigation process, stop-work orders were issued to PSA Halifax Limited Partnership and Cochrane’s Electrical Contracting, as stated by a department spokesperson.
